The Dye Club at Barefoot Resort & Golf is excited to again be the host site of the Eighteenth Annual Hootie and the Blowfish Monday after the Masters Celebrity Pro-Am Golf Tournament scheduled for April 8th and 9th. This will mark the 10th time the Dye Club has hosted the event. We are offering VIP passes for the price of $750 a piece. Passes allow access to the following:

Hootie & The Blowfish Monday After the Masters Celebrity Pro-Am Tickets
Go On Sale Saturday, February 25
MYRTLE BEACH, SC -- Tickets for 2012 Hootie & The Blowfish Monday After the Masters Celebrity Pro-Am Golf Tournament go on sale Saturday, February 25 at 11:00 a.m. and will be available at the House of Blues, the Barefoot Resort & Golf pro shops and all Ticketmaster outlets.

The Monday After the Masters will be played at the the Dye Club at Barefoot Resort on April 9. This will mark the 10th consecutive year the event is played at the Dye Course and festivities will begin with the Celebrity Long Drive contest at 10 a.m. The tournament will tee off at 11 a.m.
Tickets are $15 and children 12 and under are admitted free. While children receive free entrance, they must have a ticket to enter the event. The tournament has sold out the last six years.
ESPN Radio’s Mike & Mike in the Morning Show will be returning for another live broadcast, and Tommy “Two Gloves” Gainey and Javier Colon, winner of the popular reality show “The Voice,” will also be returning this year as well.

All ticket proceeds benefit the Hootie & the Blowfish Foundation, which supports the educational needs of children in South Carolina and the South Carolina Junior Golf Foundation.

Monday After the Masters has hosted celebrity actors, sports figures, musicians and more.  Guests have included PGA and LPGA players Dustin Johnson, Jim Furyk, DJ Trahan, John Daly, Woody Austin, Kristy McPherson, and Annika Sorenstam; actors Samuel L. NGA Pro Golf Tour Carolina Winter Series- Yoshio Yamamoto Wins at Barefoot Resort

Yoshio Yamamoto has been a regular this past month at Barefoot, winning the final event of the "Barefoot Swing" on the Norman Course at Barefoot Resort & Golf. He has been close the last two events, however couldn't seal the deal on the final day. Going into the final round he was three shots back of Brock Elder who carded a tournament low 67 in the second round. Facing strong winds in the the final round, Yoshio carded a final round 70 which gave him the overall title and the only player to shoot under par in the final round.The irony to all this is Yoshio during the winter months, worked on his game with coach Scott Schobe, at the Greg Norman Champions Golf Academy. It was only fitting he recorded a win on the newly renovated Norman Course. Learn more...

10th Anniversary


Barefoot Resort & Golf, located in North Myrtle Beach will be host of the 18th Annual Hootie and The Blowfish- Monday After The Masters Celebrity Pro-Am, to be held on Monday, April 9th, 2012. This will mark the 10th Anniversary that The Dye Club at Barefoot Resort & Golf has hosted the event. For the past six years, the event has had a sellout crowd of 6,000.
The event features one of the most star-laden fields in tournament history with many of the biggest names in the music, television and movies, sports and the professional golf world. Featuring in last year’s event were the likes of PGA TOUR players Jim Furyk, John Daly, Chris DiMarco, Brian Gay and Tommy “Two Gloves” Gainey; former Coastal Carolina University and current Miami Dolphins quarterback Tyler Thigpen; professional wrestling legend Ric Flair; former Chicago Bears quarterback and Super Bowl champion Jim McMahon; former heavyweight boxing champion James “Bonecrusher” Smith; NASCAR stars Kyle Petty and Michael Waltrip; LPGA golfer and Myrtle Beach area native Kristy McPherson; and the Weather Channel’s Jim Cantore. The team of Thompson and Wright finished at 19-under par along with PGA TOUR player and South Carolina native Tommy “Two Gloves” Gainey and country singer Colt Ford, and the team of PGA TOUR player Ken Duke and former NFL wide receiver Sterling Sharpe. PGA TOUR player Kyle Thompson and former major league pitcher Jaret Wright broke a three-way tie in a sudden death chip-off to claim victory in the 17th Annual  Hootie & The Blowfish Monday After the Masters Celebrity Pro-Am.
The event will once again be highlighted by the national broadcast of ESPN Radio’s popular show “Mike & Mike in the Morning” featuring hosts Mike Greenberg and Mike Golic. The live national broadcast will air from 6:00 – 10:00 a.m. taking place on the No. 1 tee at The Dye Club. The broadcast will be simulcast on ESPN 2.
The Hootie & The Blowfish Monday After The Masters Celebrity Pro-Am Golf Tournament attracts thousands of people who enjoy the music of the two-time Grammy award winners as well as the friendly competition between the band and their celebrity and PGA professional friends. Over the past 16 years, the Monday After The Masters has donated more than $4.5 million to the Hootie & The Blowfish Foundation, which supports the educational needs of South Carolina and the South Carolina Junior Golf Foundation.

NGA Pro Golf Tour "Barefoot Swing"


Barefoot Resort & Golf, located in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina is excited to announce that they will kick of their 2012 tournament schedule with the NGA Hooters Tour. The tour will play in consecutive weeks starting January 31, 2012 and concluding on February 23, 2012. The quartet of events will encompass their Pro Series Ranking School.
The first event will take place at the Dye Club January 31 – February 2. The course is a Par 72; 7,343-yard layout within a gated community on the exterior perimeter of the property. Pete Dye is famous for his use of native grasses. The fairways are GN-1 Bermuda grass, a hybrid developed by Greg Norman Turf. The approaches are Tifdwarf Bermudagrass, the greens are L-93 Bentgrass and the dramatic visual effects are achieved by the Centipede and Zoysia grass roughs.
The second event will take place February 7–9 on the Love course. The Love Course is a Par 72 and plays over 7,000 yards. Tee and fairways consist of GN-1, which is a hybrid turf developed by Greg Norman Turf. The approach areas consist of Tif-sport Bermuda grass. The greens surfaces are an A-1 Bentgrass and the rough areas are 419 Bermuda grass.
 The third event will take place February 14-16 on the Fazio course. The Fazio Course is a Par 71, approximately 6,834 yards long. Tees and fairways consist of GN-1, which is a hybrid turf developed by Greg Norman Turf. The approach areas consist of Tif- Sport Bermuda grass and the rough areas are 419 Bermuda grass. The new addition to the course is the greens which consist of a Champions Ultra Dwarf Grass.
The final event of the Carolina Winter Series will take place February 21-23 at the Norman course. The Norman Course is a Par 72, approximately 7,200 yards long and was designed with Norman's philosophy to bring into play the "bump and run" shots around the greens. The greens are gently undulating and consist of an average green area of 6,300 square feet. Tees and Fairway consist of GN-1, which is a hybrid turf developed by Greg Norman Turf. The approach areas are Tifdwarf grass. The new addition to the course is the greens which consist of a Champion Ultra Dwarf Grass.
 This is Barefoot Resort & Golf’s third year in a row hosting, and the first time they will conduct a tournament on all four courses in the same calendar year. While onsite, players will have many options at there disposal. They will be treated to first class service and amenities which include; a 30 acre driving range, dining on site at the Resort Clubhouse or Dye Clubhouse and close proximity to shops and dining at Barefoot Landing. Players will be given an opportunity to purchase an accommodations package which gives them an extremely affordable option to stay on site through Barefoot Golf Vacations.
